Vent Accounts

Hello everyone due to some unauthorized wow players using our vent gecko and I are making out vent more secure and formal so we will be setting up accounts for people who want to use vent. Please let us know if you have any questions concerns etc. Thanks,

Boo to World of Nerdcraft ppl taking over our vent! Put a password on it, that way they can't get in. Or go have a "friendly" chat with them. And if none of that works i'll deal with them.

By making accounts, we can limit access to channels and such, so that people without accounts have limited access. e.g. 'Members' under 'CooLest place to hangout' can only be accessed by people with accounts.

Just PM me with the following info.
Username: This is the name displayed on Vent. - Try to make it similar to an in-game name of yours/something people already know you by like your forum name.
Password: It's what you put into the password field when you're entering server info. It IS case-sensitive.

After you login next time, you'll have a [CooL] tag next to your name. Playing around with that can always be changed later.

Isn't there a way u can put a ventwide password? That way they can't use it. Next they will be invading our chat box and putting up stupid or offensive names. If you don't know how to do it i can ask around and find out.

It's better to do it by account, so that we know that people are who they claim to be. It's especially important for when people don't have mics, since for those who do, you should be able to tell by voice. It'll also get rid of the need for passwords on channels.
