PostSubject: Vloxxen Excavations HM Dungeon Team Build   Vloxxen Excavations HM Dungeon Team Build Icon_minitimeTue 11 Mar 2008, 10:47

This is a good team build to run for Vloxxen Excavations (Dungeon #9). First off you will want to get quest in Umbral Grotto and then zone to Vlox's Falls then zone into the dungeon from there. The Stone Summit groups you will fight are the same as in Slaver's Exile so you want to set up with a similar team build. This is one we have found works well:

1. Ursan Tank
2. 3 Savannah Heat or Searing Flames Eles
3. 1 Spiteful Spirit Necro
4. 3 Healer back line (1 SB Prot Monk, 1 HB Healer, 1 N/Rt)

-Ursan Tank
Bring Mantra of Earth if you like, otherwise the tank should carry Light of Deldrimore and if possible any health buffs or Paragon self heals.

-Savannah Heat Eles
2 as E/Me and 1 as E/R
Attributes: max out fire and e-storage

Skills:
Fire Attunement
Arcane Echo (for 2 E/Me)
Savannah Heat
Teinai's Heat
Searing Heat
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Meteor Shower
-1/2 optional slots for: You Move Like a Dwarf, Finish Him, Deep Freeze (snare), Breath of Fire, Mark of Rodgort, Liquid Flame, and the E/R needs to carry Frozen Soil with approx 6 points in Wilderness Survival attribute

-Searing Flames Eles
2 as E/whatever and 1 as E/R
Attributes: max out fire and e-storage

Skills:
Fire Attunement
Searing Flames
Glowing Gaze
Liquid Flame
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Meteor Shower
-2 optional slots for: You Move Like a Dwarf, Finish Him, Fireball, Mark of Rodgort, Rodgort's Invocation, the E/R needs to carry Frozen Soil with approx 6 points in Wilderness Survival attribute

-Spiteful Spirit Necro
N/Me
Attributes:
Blood: 8 (if carrying Blood Ritual)
Death: 5
Soul Reaping: 10 (9+1)
Curses: 15 (12+1+2)

Skills:
Arcane Echo
Spiteful Spirit
Reckless Haste
Verata's Aura
-3 option slots for: Desecrate Enchantments, Blood Ritual, Insidious Parasite, You Move Like a Dwarf, Finish Him, Pain Inverter, Signet of Lost Souls, Weaken Armor, Rip Enchantment, or Defile Enchantments

-The 3 Healer Set-up can be found in my previous post about my favorite monk builds

Tips for Levels 1-2 of the dungeon vs the Stone Summit:
-Always put Symbiosis and Frozen Soil just behind your casters so the Warders can't take them out with their spells
-The group's 2nd line damage dealers should stay back and cast into the enemy melee dwarfs, this will make the summit casters have to move up to the group's tank who is holding aggro and that way you can nuke everything together. The group's casters should not move up to hit the enemy casters, if you are patient all of them or almost all of them will move up into a ball on the tank where they can be nuked as one group.
-The SS Necro should wait until most of the opposing group is dead before casting Verata's Aura

Tips for Level 3 vs the undead:
-The group needs to know that the undead will automatically rez after a few minutes, so from the time you kill the first group you need to keep moving until you have reached the next rez shrine room
-The undead enchant strip constantly and hit hard so the heal monks need to be ready to cover the damage that the tank will be taking
-The rez shrine room in front of the end boss' room needs to be free from the corpses of undead. This means that the group you kill to get to the key holding boss needs to die in their room, not in the rez shrine room. If you do kill some of the undead group inside this room be ready to keep moving, kill the mini-boss group and get the key, then wait for the undead group to rez again. Let them kill you outside the rez room and your group will safely rez again at the shrine free to deal with only the end boss. If you do not do this the undead group will come and attack you while you are trying to kill the boss almost always resulting in a party wipe and will attack you again as soon as you are rezzed up.
-To kill the end boss the casters should set up at the doorway with the tank just outside of their aggro bubble. Then the tank aggros the boss and holds his spot, the eles and ss necro will nuke the minions as they attack the tank and the monks keep the tank alive. The fastest way to kill the boss is to kill his minions as they attack the tank and leave the actual boss alone. He will lose health each time he rezes his minions until eventually when he is at 1/4 health or so he will stop rezing and come up to attack the group. At this point the group should attack and kill him. Then it's a good idea to go around using LoD since the undead groups will be cleared and you are free to move about the dungeon level now.

If you have questions regarding this dungeon please let me know and I am happy to help.

If people are bringing SH, they NEED to cast MS first to prevent everything from scattering. Bringing Summon Ice Imp and/or Deep Freeze would also be a good idea.
